A strong focus at this stage is language and social emotional development. Skills such as learning to follow direction, playing with others, and sharing are learned through structured play and teacher guidance. Children at this age are curious, have sassy attitudes, and of course, love the word no. They have a natural desire to explore and of course test limits.
Teachers in the class are there to guide and console them as they are trying to figure things out in their small world. They will have opportunity for learning and encouragement. Days will be filled with lesson plans that focus on hands on learning, language, fine motor development, sensory activities, creative independent art projects, story time, large muscle and music movement.
Children will have the opportunity to explore the outdoors and participate in activities that will assist them to shake off the excess energy they naturally have.
